A statue with spear idea using a mixture of Hoppers, Grindstones, Anvils and Cauldrons. This design looks great guarding your Minecraft base or village!
Step 1:
Put a Spruce Plank on the ground and add 4 Trapdoors on all sides.
Step 2:
Next, place a Cauldron on the Spruce Plank, followed by an Anvil on top.
Step 3:
Insert another Spruce Plank on the Anvil and add Trapdoors on the front and back of it.
Step 4:
On top of the Spruce Plank, attach a Grindstone as well as a Trapdoor above it.
Step 5:
Now, let’s start working on the arms – Shift+Click to put Trapdoors on the bottom half of the Grindstone.
Step 6:
Go below the Trapdoors and Shift+Click again to attach Hoppers underneath.
Step 7:
Add 3 Cobblestone Walls below the 2 Hoppers (1 on one side, 2 on the other). Note that you’ll have to Shift+Click again so you don’t activate the Hoppers.
Step 8:
Hang a Lantern below the single Cobblestone Wall.
Step 9:
For the spear, attach a total of 5 Fences (2 below and 3 above) to the second Cobblestone Wall.
Step 10:
To complete the tip of the spear, place 2 Pots above one another and insert Bamboos.
Variations:
- Experiment with different block palettes to try out different colors.
- End Rods can be used as the spear instead of Fences.
- Instead of using a Trapdoor on the statue’s chest, consider placing an Item Frame and add any item into it as a ‘logo’.
- Daylight Sensors can also be a good alternative to the Trapdoor above the Grindstone, giving your statue a slightly thicker headpiece.
